Nothing says Arizona like a hot air balloon ride over the open desert.  Apex Balloons offers balloon rides in the Phoenix area, seven days a week – October through May.  Rides take place at sunrise; additional rides are available at sunset from mid-November to mid-March.  The company specializes in private balloon flights for two or more guests, as well as group balloon excursions for up to 30 passengers.

Feeling less adventurous, but would rather have a relaxing, blue-sky, sunny day?  Making the time to simply enjoy your day is no walk in the park – but in this case – it is.  Surprise Community Park, just five miles from Sun City West in Surprise, offers a variety of recreational pleasures.  The park features sport options such as four basketball courts, 16 pickleball courts and two sand volleyball courts, as well as a five-acre urban fishing lake with accessible dock.  Get your daily exercise with lighted walking paths or take a dive in the public swimming pool.  You can also enjoy a good book from the public library on site.  Don’t forget your furry best friend – there is a wonderful dog bark that will make your four-legged friend very happy.

Surprise Stadium is home of the spring training for Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers.  Enjoy a great game of baseball at this wonderful stadium located beautiful Surprise, Arizona.  You can enhance your fan experience with upgrades such as delivering the first pitch, being part of the press box crew or even singing the national anthem.  Spring schedule runs throughout March, see website for details.
